Pedestrian Bridge in Osijek

Pedestrian bridge is one of the main architectural landmarks of Osijek. Located near centre, it is visible from promenades along both sides of Drava river, as well as from various points of the city.

The light design project made by Nova-lux started with developing a light concept accentuating its elegant suspended structure and two pylons. Suspended structure is acdcentuated with linear LED light fixtures positioned on the outer side of handrails and their light beam lit both handrails and suspension cables. With precize positioning and aiming, and by choosing special antiglare optics, we took care that light sources should not be glary to pedestrian from different views, as much as possible.

Dynamic lighting scenes are planned during various occasions, holidays, or to send various messages of support. White color is a perfect base for emitting various colours in dynamic lighting scenes.

The Client is the City of Osijek, financed by both the City of Osijek and the company Zumtobel, a company which delivered light fixtures and light management control for this project.
