Doha Mall in Qatar
Doha Mall is a new Shopping Mall, situated in Abu Hamour district in Doha, Qatar. With more than 100.000 m2 GLA, 250 shops on 3 levels, 60 Food & Beverage, 3700 parking spaces covered in two underground car parks, it is one of the largest shopping malls in Qatar.
Our task on this project was to create a light design concept for the facade, including light simulations, for the Client Lighting Group WLL Qatar. The main entrance is accentuated with colorful light situated within the canopy, and with decorative light on impressive fountains on both sides of the entrance. Alongside the facade, horizontal lines of light are connecting visually all entrances and corners of the shopping mall building. The facade is slightly lit with coloured light on the request of the Client. Light simulations on computer 3D model were made in order to show the future light effect.
